U-Haul ranks Alabama 22nd for most movers to a state

Major moving truck, trailer, and self storage rental business company, U-Haul, has released its annual "U-Haul Migration Trends" report for 2023. According to the data compiled over the past year in the U-Haul Growth Index, Alabama is ranked 22nd in the country for having the highest rate of people moving into a state using one way U-Haul equipment.

The city of Blountsville is about to receive some much needed updates to a portion of it's municipal water line. The section of the line set to be upgraded is old, even by Alabama standards. Originally constructed in 1941, the section, located on U.S. Highway 231, will now be modernized thanks to a $250,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to the Blountsville Utilities Board which will be administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA).
