As conditions on the ground in Kabul continue to deteriorate, more and more are speaking out against the Biden administration.
Among those is U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile), who has a very harsh opinion of President Joe Biden.
During an appearance on Mobile talk radio FM Talk 106.5’s “Midday Mobile,” Carl reiterated a claim he made a night earlier on Newsmax TV in declaring Biden was a coward given he had declined to use America’s military might to rescue U.S. citizens and others who had cooperated with the United States during its two decades of Afghanistan occupation.
“[W]e’ve got a commander-in-chief here that’s a coward,” Carl declared. “He is a coward. I called him this last night. I was furious last night and I’m still furious today. He’s a coward. You don’t break and run when you’ve got military like we’ve got.”
“We’ve got a woke military,” he added. “That’s what he’s trying to make.”
Carl clarified his remarks to say he was referring to the commanders of the military.
“They want to hold hands and stand around the fire and ‘kumbaya my lord’ — sing songs with terrorists,” Carl said. “And it doesn’t work that way. So, turn the military loose. Let them do what they do best. Is it going to get us in a war? At this point, I want my Americans back on this soil. That’s all I’m asking.”
