As initially reported by Alabama Daily News’ Todd Stacy, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) attended a D.C. fundraiser for U.S. Senate hopeful Katie Britt on Wednesday.
According to Politico Playbook, Tuberville was not the only high-profile politician in attendance. U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) also was spotted at the event co-hosted by former GOP Senate chiefs Joe Hack, Olivia Kurtz, Mike House and Kate Dickens at D.C. government affairs firm S-3 Group’s townhouse on C Street a few blocks northeast of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Also according to the Politico report, spotted among the attendees was former Pence vice-presidential chief of staff Marc Short and former U.S. Rep. Jeff Miller (R-Fla.).
On Thursday, Washington Post congressional reporter Mike DeBonis tweeted Tuberville denied the appearance was not an endorsement.

Recent polls have shown a tighter race than some expected at this stage of the campaign between the two frontrunners, Britt and U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville).
