Mo Brooks announces statewide U.S. Senate campaign tour

On Wednesday, Alabama U.S. Senate hopeful U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) announced what he is deeming the statewide Meet MAGA Mo Tour.

According to a release, the tour will consist of town halls “in every corner of Alabama.”

Brooks’ ambitious plan will include stops in all of Alabama’s 67 counties by the May 24 primary election date.

“The primary job of a United States Senator is to reflect the will of the constituents he represents,” he said in a release. “I can think of no better way to interact with the voters of Alabama than by coming to their communities and answering their questions. I will work my hardest over these next months to meet with every voter and answer every question that I can. President Trump refused to be outworked on the campaign trail, and he expects that candidates he has endorsed will do the same. I’m taking a page straight out of his MAGA playbook with my townhall tour.”

“For the last few months we have been taking our pro-Trump message to every corner of the state, and I’m excited to be going back to every corner of the state again,” Brooks continued. “I look forward to seeing you at a townhall in your community soon!”

Brooks’ campaign manager Forrest Barnwell-Hagemeyer also weighed in on the announcement.

“Many candidates and politicians fear townhalls, because it gives the people the opportunity to ask tough questions,” Barnwell-Hagemeyer said. “Mo Brooks is not afraid of tough questions, because he’s tested and proven. Congressman Brooks is the front-runner in this race, and nobody is going to outwork Mo. Not only will he continue his full-time job of being Alabama’s most Conservative Congressman and beating back the Socialists in Washington, but he will also run the most aggressive boots-on-the-ground campaign in the state. Trump Conservatives across Alabama trust Mo. We look forward to ensuring patriots across the state get to know him as he brings his pro-Trump, proven Conservative message to every corner of the state.”
