Late last week, the Rev. Harry Reeder III of Briarwood Presbyterian Church based in Birmingham, was returning home from meeting with legislators in Montgomery when he was killed in a car crash after striking a dump truck that was reportedly stopping to make a turn. Reeder was 75.

In 2005, a young girl from Mountain Brook, Alabama disappeared on a high school graduation trip to Aruba making headlines internationally.
