Bryce Young, former Alabama quarterback and the first overall pick for the Carolina Panthers, has announced he will wear No. 9 for the NFL team.

This is the same number he wore during his time with the Crimson Tide — where he made history by winning the Heisman Trophy and finishing as the second-leading passer in Alabama history with 8,356 passing yards and 80 passing touchdowns.

Meanwhile, quarterback Matt Corral will be swapping No. 9 for No. 2, which he requested before the draft. Corral wore the number at Ole Miss and in high school. Corral said he is excited to continue wearing it as a member of the Panthers, according to a release.

The Panthers said Young’s No. 9 jerseys and merch are available.
