BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Yellowhammer Multimedia on Monday announced the company’s Alabama-focused online publication Yellowhammer News received over three million unique visitors in June, a new record for the rapidly-growing site.

“Our team is committed to delivering engaging and informative content that reflects Alabamians’ interests and values,” said Yellowhammer Multimedia Chief Operations Officer Ryan Boggus. “As a result, Alabamians continue to flock to Yellowhammer News in greater numbers month after month.”

Yellowhammer Multimedia also announced its terrestrial radio program, which launched less than three months ago, is already expanding. Yellowhammer Radio with Cliff Sims currently airs in central and north Alabama, including the Birmingham and Huntsville metro areas, on the largest FM talk radio signal in the state, the 100,000-watt Superstation 101.1 WYDE.

“When we launched Yellowhammer Radio, we knew fans would want more than one hour per day,” said WYDE station manager Leland Whaley. “Sure enough, the demand from listeners for a two hour show happened in short order, and we are excited to give our listeners what they want. Yellowhammer Radio’s new lead-in will be from 20-year news veteran Andrea Lindenberg. With these new additions to our existing lineup of The Guys, Michael Hart and my show, WYDE now has the most experienced and connected local news talk hosts in Alabama.”

Yellowhammer Radio will now air 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday on WYDE, and expects to announce its expansion into other Alabama markets soon.

Yellowhammer Radio host Cliff Sims is the CEO of Yellowhammer Multimedia and Editor-in-Chief of Yellowhammer News. His articles and opinions have been featured in local and national publications including The Daily Caller, Politico, The Huffington Post, TheBlaze, and Fox News. He made his national radio debut earlier this year as the guest host of the nationally-syndicated Laura Ingraham Show.
