Wells Griffith unveils new television ad for AL-01 final stretch

Early Tuesday, the Wells Griffith campaign unveiled a 30-second television spot that is part of their final push in Alabama’s First Congressional District GOP primary set to be held a week from today.

The ad primarily takes aim at President Barack Obama’s controversial 2009 health care reform law.

“I’m Wells Griffith,” he says. “Growing up here in south Alabama, my parents taught me to look to the Bible, the Constitution for wisdom and guidance. But this document, ObamaCare — this is why I’m running for Congress, so we can get back to creating jobs. So these thousands of pages of economic destruction are relegated to the trash pile of history. And once we’re rid of that, I’ll stand up to liberals in Washington, secure our borders, protect life and defend your right to keep and bear arms. I’m Wells Griffith, conservative Republican and I approved this message.”

According to campaign aide Rob Lockwood, the spot will be run on both cable and broadcast television in the Mobile area. Public documents show that the campaign has made an $18,000 television ad buy for the final week of the campaign.

Earlier in the campaign, Griffith made a similar gesture against ObamaCare in another TV spot not to accept “taxpayer funded health insurance” until the law is repealed.
