Watch live: Ivey, emergency management officials hold Lee County tornado briefing

At 1:00 p.m. CST, Governor Kay Ivey, emergency management officials and local leaders will update the public on the devastating tornadoes that struck Lee County Sunday.

Heading into the briefing at Beauregard High School, officials have said the death toll in east Alabama stands at 23 but is likely to rise as first responders search for missing persons and assess damaged areas, according to WSFA.
