WATCH: Kalen DeBoer’s reaction to being called ‘Coach Saban’ by mistake

Someone might just have to remind Chris Stewart that we are a full week into the Kalen DeBoer era.

During Wednesday’s broadcast of ‘Hey Coach’, the weekly radio show from Baumhower’s Victory Grill which Nick Saban appeared on throughout his tenure, the new official radio voice of the Crimson Tide made the unfortunate mistake of referring to DeBoer as ‘Coach Saban.’

“Did I do it already?” Stewart hilariously asked as his producer reminded him that the man sitting next to him was in fact not Nick Saban. “I don’t know who had it in the office pool, but let the record show 6:46 on September 4th, I finally did it and I apologized.”

DeBoer was lighthearted about the error as well, telling Stewart he does not need to apologize.

“Hey, he’s everywhere, I’m sure he’s in here I was looking around to find him…if that’s what I’m called I think I’m pretty good,” DeBoer joked.

“Welp,” Stewart said with a sigh. “I’m gonna being doing JUCO games next week.”
