The Auburn University Marching Band is one of the best in the SEC. During halftime of Saturday night’s matchup against Ole Miss, the group debuted a new theme for the halftime show, celebrating legendary heavy-metal band Metallica.

Metallica, which has been making hits since 1981, is one of the most well-known groups in music history and has had staying power that not many bands have been able to find. The group has won nine Grammy awards and is widely recognized as the greatest metal band of all time.

Their staying power was on full display with an SEC football marching band choosing to do a set of their music as its halftime performance.
