Alex Stack said her immediate reaction to seeing a pickup truck in the median of the Interstate pulling a lawnmower was that the driver must be trying to be funny.

It ended up being anything but a joke.

Once The truck started bulldozing signs in the median, Stack pulled out her phone and captured a three second video of the truck flying over a highway guardrail and into a creek.

The driver, 58-year-old Mark Moerland of Kentwood, MI, suffered a fractured leg, dislocated ankle, lower back fracture and a partially collapsed lung, but is expected to make a full recovery. Police say the crash was likely caused by an undisclosed medical condition.
