(U.S. Department of Agriculture)

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is recalling beef jerky made in Alabama. The USDA says more than 6,200 pounds of jerky made at Hickory Hollow Jerky in Eufaula wasn’t properly inspected. The jerky was manufactured between January and August of this year. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products.

The items were shipped to stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and through internet sales.

The products subject to recall are listed here, and the product labels can be viewed here. The USDA advises consumers that recalled products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
