UAB Medicine recognized as one of ‘Most Wired’ hospitals

Another day, another accolade for UAB Medicine.

This time the renowned facility and its ambulatory clinics have been recognized for achieving Level 9 status in CHIME’s 2023 Digital Health Most Wired survey. The accolade  recognizes health care organizations that have adopted and deployed information technology to improve patient safety and health outcomes.

Among the more than 55,000 facilities represented in the survey, UAB Medicine ranked above the majority of its peers in categories such as analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement. The survey also took into account adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading.

UAB Medicine was also recognized as one of the the country’s leaders in use of information technology in health care by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
