U.S. Rep. Barry Moore has announced a handful of high-ranking staff promotions and a new hire in his Washington D.C. office. Each member of the group has extensive experience in legislative service, with two having worked for President Trump’s first Administration.

As Alabama’s congressional districts shifted last year, Moore (R-Enterprise), currently representing the 2nd District, will represent the 1st District in the upcoming 119th U.S. Congress. Moore’s senior staff announcement will play a key role in the transition for his office and constituents.

“I’m proud to hire and promote these talented individuals who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to serving the people of Alabama,” said Moore. “Their experience and understanding of our office’s mission will ensure a seamless transition as they take on these new responsibilities.”

Jim Jordan of Ohio, is filling the position of Deputy Chief of Staff in the Wahington office and will continue his role leading Moore’s legislative team. Macheledt’s responsibilities will encompass crime and law enforcement, election security, FEMA, oversight, and Second Amendment issues.

A native of Slocomb, Alabama, Taylor Keel, previously served on Moore’s staff as a Legislative Aide, Constituent Correspondent, and Staff Assistant. She will now be leading  Moore’s efforts on Agriculture, Animal Welfare, Broadband, Environment, Food, and Natural Resources.

Emery Washington, a former communications staffer for the 2024 Donald J. Trump for President campaign and previous Digital Director and Press Secretary for Congressman Barry Moore, will take on the role of Communications Director.

Brittany Young, a Texas native and former staff and press assistant for Rep. Bob Good (VA-5), former Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, has joined Team Moore as scheduler.
