Two Mobile events changed due to inclement weather

Due to the anticipated winter weather, two City of Mobile events scheduled for later this week have been rescheduled or canceled. Originally, the lighting of the Mardi Gras Tree was scheduled for Thursday, January 9; however, it will now take place on Thursday, January 16. Mobile invites everyone to experience the fun, music, and magic that marks the beginning of the Mardi Gras festivities. The lighting will take place at Mardi Gras Park from 6:00 until 8:00, with the actual tree lighting taking place at 6:30. Music will be provided throughout the event with performances from Excelsior Band, Jukebox Brass Band, and Blow House Brass Band, for more information visit the City of Mobile website.

January’s LoDa Artwalk, scheduled for January 10, has been canceled. The next LoDa Artwalk will take place on Friday, March 14.
