MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Alabama News Network on Tuesday evening aired an in-depth feature on Yellowhammer News, exploring how the company and its founder, Cliff Sims, have “changed the face of Alabama politics.” The feature first aired on Montgomery’s CBS affiliate WAKA.

Alabama New Network reporter Sarah Cantey was granted behind-the-scenes access to Yellowhammer’s offices, giving their viewers an inside look at the company’s operations.

Sims discussed the founding of the Yellowhammer site and radio network; the company’s growth over the last several years; how they broke the explosive Bentley-Mason scandal; and gave insight into the organization’s news gathering capabilities.

“Now alongside his team at Yellowhammer, they’re writing headlines and breaking news ahead of the competition,” said Cantey.

The full feature came be viewed in the video above.
