Tuberville reports raising $2 million in first 24 hours of campaign for governor: ‘An Alabama record’

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville reported a blockbuster first day of fundraising for his freshly launched 2026 gubernatorial bid.

According to his campaign, Tuberville has raked in $2,064,723 since announcing he was running just 24 hours ago.

“This is just the beginning of our fight to put Alabama first,” Tuberville (R-Auburn) posted.

According to the Alabama Secretary of State’s website, Tuberville filed his principal campaign committee one week ago today.

Although he will not have to submit his first monthly fundraising report until this weekend, Tuberville is already claiming the title for largest single-day fundraising haul in state history.

By comparison, last year, Democrat U.S. Rep. Shomari Figures (D-Mobile) and Republican contender Caroleene Dobson collectively raised $6.44 million over the course of their campaigns for a newly-drawn congressional seat. During her 2022 re-election campaign, Governor Kay Ivey raised $7.1 million in total.
