Slice Fest, celebrating its fourth year, will take place on June 6th in the Lakeview district of Birmingham. “This intimate festival promotes the importance of ‘local,’” Buzzfeed explained. “SliceFest brings the community together in a family friendly, one-day event to celebrate through local fare, local brew and both local and nationally celebrated music and entertainment. Plus, Birmingham is a quick trip for festival-goers from Tennessee, Georgia, Mississipi and Florida.”

SlossFest will be hitting off its inaugural festival on July 18th and 19th,
featuring more than 30 bands at the National Historic Landmark Sloss Furnaces.

And of course, that brings us to Hangout Fest. The Gulf Shores music fest has grown like crazy each of the six years it has been in existence. This year it will host big name acts from nearly every musical genre during its three days from May 15th-17th.

With three of the ten festivals listed, Alabama’s music and arts festival scene is becoming one of the most active in the region.
