Candidate for Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, Bryan Taylor, has released the first video advertisement of his campaign.

The ad, entitled ‘Uphold the Constitution’ highlights his military service, conservative judicial philosophy, commitment to applying the law as written, and upholding the Constitution, Taylor says.

“Liberal judges are using the courts to advance their woke agenda,” said Taylor in the new ad. “I’m conservative Bryan Taylor. I’ll follow the law as written and never legislate from the bench.”

“As Chief Justice, I’ll be guided by my faith and fearlessly uphold the Constitution.”

In a separate statement, Taylor called himself the only true conservative candidate in the race.

“I’m the only candidate not bankrolled by liberal special interests who want to influence our courts. We have too many liberal judges in the country. We don’t need another one as chief justice here in Alabama,” Taylor said in a separate statement. “As a military prosecutor I protected our freedoms in Iraq and as chief justice I’ll protect our constitutional freedoms here at home.”

Taylor was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Iraq.

Taylor has previously served as a legal counsel to the Alabama Republican Party and two Republican governors. Most recently he was chief legal advisor to Governor Kay Ivey. Taylor is also a former member of the Alabama State Senate.
