State Sen. April Weaver has been chosen to become a member of a select nationwide group known for promoting responsible leadership, the principles of economic freedom, and limited government.

On Tuesday, the legislator from Brierfield announced that the Club for Growth Foundation selected her to be a part of its 2025 Fellowship class. The year-long program will allow those selected to participate in activities that will help shape and grow their leadership skills.

“The Club for Growth Foundation is honored to welcome Sen. April Weaver into its 2025 Fellowship class,” said Club for Growth Foundation President David McIntosh. “Through her civic leadership, Sen. Weaver has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing and protecting the economic principles that are at the heart of the American spirit – free markets, limited government, and individual liberty.”

Weaver thanked the organization and explained what drives her as an elected official.

“Throughout my life and during my service in President Trump’s first administration, I have been guided by my deep conservative beliefs, the traditional values instilled in me by my parents, and a full understanding that the free market system and strict limits on government intrusion are essential ingredients in a successful economy,” Weaver said.

“Since President Trump’s election in November, failed liberal policies of the past are being abandoned across the country, and the fundamental tenets of freedom and liberty that those of us selected for the Fellowship program embrace are taking center stage once again.”
