State Rep. Kirk Hatcher tests positive for COVID-19

State Rep. Kirk Hatcher (D-Montgomery) has tested positive for COVID-19, he tweeted on Wednesday evening.

“This is just another reminder of the seriousness of this pandemic and the need to ensure that we do everything we can to protect our family and friends until we can distribute a vaccine to everyone,” Hatcher added. “Meanwhile, please take the necessary precautions of wearing a mask, social distancing, and staying safe.”

Hatcher, 55, is also the Democratic nominee in Alabama Senate District 26’s special election.
