Sources: Donald Trump to return to Bryant-Denny Stadium for Georgia game

According to Mark Halperin of Newsmax TV, former President Donald Trump is planning to attend another gameday in Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs on September 28.

The last time Trump visited Bryant-Denny Stadium was as president in 2019 when the Crimson Tide played LSU.

Schedules can change, of course, but per football sources, @realDonaldTrump plans to go to Bryant-Denny Stadium to see the @AlabamaFTBL vs. @GeorgiaFootball game on 9/28.

In 2019, Trump flew down to Tuscaloosa in Air Force One with U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) and attended the game with Alabama officials, including former U.S. Senator Richard Shelby, former U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne, and U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover).

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were greeted by likely one of the loudest ovations the stadium has ever witnessed that didn’t involve Nick Saban himself.

Update Tuesday 6:42 a.m. — Additional reporting from Mark Halperin suggests a Trump return to Bryant-Denny Stadium is being coordinated with the help of Alabama’s two U.S. Senators, Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) and Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn). Also expected to be in attendance is U.S. Senator Steve Daines (R-Mont.), who chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

Sen. Britt is organizing a major fundraiser for the NRSC in Alabama the day before the game and hosting Sen. Daines in Tuscaloosa after. Britt has distinguished herself as a fundraising powerhouse for Republicans nationwide and is no stranger to using gameday as a magnet for top donors and officials.

While the details and logistics of where Trump will watch the game, the former president’s visibility will be maximized during Alabama’s matchup with a 2024 swing state college, the University of Georgia.

The potential for a Trump reunion with SEC football fans on Nick Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium is realistic, despite no official confirmation from the Trump campaign or the University of Alabama.

U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt shared a video on Monday of he and the former president departing Air Force One in Tuscaloosa before his previous gameday appearance, saying Alabama certainly welcomes him back:
