Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall and U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville are in New York City this morning backing former President Donald Trump in a historic criminal prosecution of a former U.S. President.

Marshall and Tuberville (R-Auburn) appeared alongside U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), the president’s son, Eric Trump, and others as Trump made remarks to the press on a big day for the trial in which his former associate Michael Cohen will take the stand.

“I’m proud to be in New York today to support my friend and president, Donald Trump. Americans see this case for what it is—a political circus,” Sen. Tuberville (R-Auburn) said. “The left can lie about President Trump all they want, but the American people aren’t buying it.”

Sen. Vance posted some observations from the proceedings to social media, including a quote from Sen. Tuberville about seeing masks in the courtroom.

Both Tuberville and Marshall have been strong advocates for the former president in recent months. Marshall is currently leading an 18-state amicus brief in defense of former President Donald Trump in his presidential immunity case before the U.S. Supreme Court.
