One of the biggest gripes fans have in college football is the way scheduling occurs makes it difficult to plan traveling trips, as the kickoff times are not revealed until a couple of weeks before a game.

Though the SEC’s switch from CBS to the ESPN family of networks has not been met with the strongest of receptions one year in, one benefit has been the revealing of kickoff windows before the season begins.

Exact times are not revealed for the full season, but putting a window assignment on it gives fans a better idea of when kickoff could be.

This week, the SEC revealed its scheduling windows, giving fans in the state of Alabama an idea of when their beloved teams will be playing:

The most significant developments with the release of the news is the reveal that both Alabama and Auburn will be facing the Georgia Bulldogs at night. The Tigers get to host Georgia on October 11 while Alabama has to travel to Athens to face Sanford Stadium under the lights on September 27.

Also of note is the reveal that Alabama will get to host LSU at night at Bryant-Denny Stadium on November 8.

In terms of early games, the Tide will go to Missouri at 11:00 a.m. while the Tigers travel to Arkansas in the early window which will place start time between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m CST.

Most of the other games for each are in “flex” slots which mean they could be anywhere between 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. CST.

Start planning your trips football fans, the season is almost upon us.
