Saban on recruiting trail, visits with 5-star QB Julian Sayin

It’s an interesting time on the college football calendar at the end of the regular season and early signing day coming up just over a week from now. For most teams, the national championship hunt is over and the focus is fully on recruiting, but for the playoff teams, coaches have to double up and do both.

It’s a period where Nick Saban takes time to hit the road and visit recruits, both ones who have already committed and are about to sign and ones he is still trying to get to commit. Yesterday, 5-star quarterback out of Carlsbad, California Julian Sayin posted a tweet of Nick Saban on an in-home visit with his family:

Sayin has been the crown jewel of Alabama’s 2024 class since committing just over a year ago and someone that Saban knew he absolutely had to keep.

According to 247 Composite rankings, Sayin is both the No. 1 quarterback of the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of California as well as the No. 5 overall player in the nation.

Sayin headlines a class that includes in-state superstars Jaylen Mbakwe and now Saraland wide receiver Ryan Williams after Williams announced yesterday that he would reclassify from 2025 to 2024.

Saban will continue to be all over the map as the early signing day draws closer and closer.
