Saban: ‘Being taller than Mickey Mouse helped my ego a little bit’

With Alabama and Michigan facing off in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day on Monday afternoon in Pasadena, members from both teams as well as both Nick Saban and Jim Harbaugh headed to Disneyland this week to take things in before the big game.

Since then, a picture of Harbaugh, Saban, and Mickey Mouse has been circulating the internet, and Saban had a hilarious reaction to it on the Pat McAfee show Thursday afternoon:

“Well, you know the only thing I know about that picture is that Mickey Mouse is the only guy I was taller than in the whole picture, which you know, that helped my ego a little bit,” Saban joked.

CBS College Football Commentator Barrett Sallee posted the photo with a “Caption this” line, which led to some hilarious responses as well:

One user said “Saban meets Mickey and Goofy”, obviously referring to Harbaugh as Goofy, while another said “Harbaugh, Saban, and Drinkwitz walk into a bar”, comparing Mickey Mouse to Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz.

But the best one of all came from a user by the name of Matt Beard, who captioned the photo with a hilarious reference to Connor Stallions and the Michigan cheating scandal:

“Mickey: pssst hey Jim it’s me
Jim confused leans into Mickey
Mickey: coach it’s me Connor”
