Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Saks, announced today he will embark on a “jobs tour” next week in an effort to focus on job creation across Alabama’s Third Congressional District.

Rogers will be visiting small businesses in the area, including companies like Buckner Barrel in Springville, Ford Meter Box Company in Pell City and KwangSung Corporation in Dadeville.

He said he hopes to see first-hand how these companies and their workers are faring in the current economy and what their futures look like as ObamaCare hangs over their heads.

“Right now Congress’ number one priority must be jobs,” Rogers said. “People are struggling all across the Third District just to keep up, and I want to make sure Congress is doing all it can to help employers to retain and create good-paying jobs here at home.”

Rogers will also be speaking to the Alabama Realtors Association and meeting with local tourism partnerships across Calhoun County to discuss how East Alabama is benefitting from growth in tourism of all kinds. In addition to discussing issues such as the growing number of burdensome Federal regulations and how they may be slowing job creation, he will also be listening to concerns about the impact of ObamaCare on small businesses.
