Data shows voting in Alabama tends to be quick, but how’s your experience been today?

People don’t vote for many different reasons, but a consistent excuse is that voting just takes too much time. During the 2012 election, the Government Accountability Office collected data from 36 states to find the average wait time for voting.

At 35 minutes, Florida had the longest wait time. Residents of Alaska and Vermont enjoyed an average wait of only 2 minutes.

Alabama’s average wait time for voters in 2012 clocked in at 10.5 minutes.
