Birmingham’s state-of-the-art Protective Stadium is in the running for the recognition of Stadium of the Year 2021.

StadiumDB.com, a stadium intrigue website, awards the recognition annually based on a number of factors. Part of the award process is determined by the Public Award, which is given to the stadium that earns the most support by way of online voting.

Thus far, it appears as if Birmingham’s $200 million investment in Protective Stadium is set to see great return this year as it will serve to showcase the Magic City’s bountiful entertainment opportunities. Birmingham’s status as Alabama’s go-to sports and entertainment city has been bolstered by Protective Stadium’s presence.

In addition to the 45,000-seat multi-use stadium hosting the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 World Games in July, Protective Stadium will host a majority of the United States Football League competition beginning in April.

Those who wish to help Protective Stadium land the recognition may click here and give the venue a five-star rating.
