Vice President Kamala Harris is facing major headwinds going into the 2024 election, according to a GOP strategist with the polling and analytics company Cygnal.
The presumptive Democrat nominee for president has continued to see her approval ratings drop among certain demographics throughout the country, per Republican pollster John Rogers.
“As our polling at Cygnal has shown, Kamala Harris is unpopular with key voter groups like Hispanics, which means Arizona and Nevada remain an uphill climb for Democrats,” he said. “Trump has held steady and leads in both states. A California liberal, Harris is to the left of Biden and even Obama on a range of issues. She supports a ban on fracking — that isn’t going to win new converts in Midwestern battleground states like Pennsylvania.”

Additionally, as of this morning, The Hill is reporting that Kamala Harris is polling behind former President Donald Trump in the majority of key swing states.
The former president is leading Harris by:
- 5 points in Arizona
- 2 points in Georgia
- 1 point in Michigan
- 2 points in Pennsylvania
Wisconsin, where the two candidates are virtually tied, was the one exception out of the group listed.
Cygnal was first founded by Brent Buchanan in Montgomery and has been ranked the most accurate private polling firm in the country by ABC News’ 538. During the 2020 presidential election cycle, according to 538’s own data, Cygnal called 92% of all races correctly, with zero misses outside the margin of error.
