After the brutal attack on Israel by the terrorist organization Hamas, many Americans have been left in limbo in the region without a sure way out.
Now, reportedly, if they do happen to find a way out on a plane, they are forced to pay for their own ticket or tickets.
In response to the growing issue, U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer joined Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-N.Y.) in introducing the “Bring Americans Home Act.”
“Americans are currently stuck in a war zone because President Biden has displayed weak leadership around the globe. The United States government should be there to help,” said Palmer. “Instead of helping, the response of the State Department has been to send these stranded Americans a bill. This is unacceptable.”
Palmer said that the administration treats illegal immigrants more favorably than the citizens who are struggling to find a way out of the warzone.
“The Biden Administration is willing to pay for illegal immigrants to fly anywhere around the country but is unwilling to help Americans in need,” he said. “We must care for our citizens and help them get home safely in an emergency.
“This is why Congressman D’Esposito and I introduced the Bring Americans Home Act. We believe Americans should not foot the bill for the misplaced priorities and poor leadership in the White House.”
