Oakwood Adventist Academy made the state’s 1A high school basketball playoffs and advanced to a game that would have been played at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Because of their faith, this is not a time the students could play this game, and they sought a rescheduling, something all the schools involved agreed to.

In spite of this, the Alabama High School Athletic Association refused them any accommodation so they had to forfeit.
