1. President Donald Trump continues his week of anti-conservative moves with a round of new tariffs
— Trump has talked about taking guns, subverting due process, and now he want to impose a 10 percent tariff on steel and 25 percent tariffs on aluminum.
— The stock market, predictably, did not like this latest move by the president.
2. Alabama Democrat proposes a completely ridiculous, and never-happening, ban on semi-automatics
— Rep. Mary Moore introduced a bill that would ban the sale of all semi-automatic handguns and rifles.
— This bill is pretty extreme and has only one sponsor, fellow Democrat John Rogers.
3. Trump and the NRA come back together on guns
— After infuriating members of his base with talk of gun restrictions, fear of the NRA, and the ending of some due process, the president met with the NRA in the Oval Office and it appears they are back on the same page.
— The NRA’s Executive Director tweeted about the meeting, “I had a great meeting tonight with @realDonaldTrump & @VP. We all want safe schools, mental health reform and to keep guns away from dangerous people. POTUS & VPOTUS support the Second Amendment, support strong due process and don’t want gun control. #NRA #MAGA”
4. Georgia lawmakers go after Delta for targeting the NRA and deal them a multi-million dollar blow
— After Delta ended their partnership offering discounts to NRA members, Georgia lawmakers promised to make them pay.
— The Republican Governor of Georgia was not happy, and said, “We were not elected to give the late-night talk show hosts fodder for their monologues or to act with the type of immaturity that has caused so many in our society to have a cynical view of politics.”
5. Alabama lawmakers are actually arguing against a law placing penalties on student guns in schools
— A common sense bill that would allow local law enforcement to prosecute kids who bring guns to school has somehow hit a snag.
— State Rep. Barry Moore, who is running for Congress, says the bill opens up young people who hunt for prosecution.

— Starting July 1st, Uber is no longer confined to the state’s urban centers; users and drivers will be free to travel the state.
— Alabama is now the 45th state in the nation to allow the ride-share companies to operate.
