“Where is red state Alabama on education, jobs and health care?” MSNBC asks rhetorically on their website. “Ed [Schultz] wants to talk about it!”
MSNBC host Ed Schultz will hold a “radio town hall meeting” at the Sheraton Birmingham in downtown Birmingham this Friday evening, starting at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.).
The town hall is being sponsored by Sirius/XM station Progress 127. The event is open to the public and MSNBC says their cameras will be there to capture the magic.
In anticipation of Ed’s visit to Birmingham, here are a few of his most insane quotes:
5. “It’s outrageous what [Paul Ryan] just said! He is inciting civil war! That’s what he’s doing.
You take his comments, and you see exactly what they mean. It’s almost as if Republicans want violence to take place in our society.”
4. “You’re damn right I’m a tax and spend liberal. It’s time to tax the top 1 percent and spend it on the working folk of America who need a job, who need a school, who need some health care.”
3. “President Obama is going to be visiting Joplin, Mo., on Sunday, but you know what [Republicans are] talking about, like this right-wing slut, what’s her name? Laura Ingraham?”
2. “You’re damn right, Dick Cheney’s heart’s a political football. We ought to rip it out and kick it around and stuff it back in him.”
And our all-time favorite:
1. “The Republicans lie! They want to see you dead! They’d rather make money off your dead corpse! They kind of like it when that woman has cancer and they don’t have anything for her.”
