We take our college football very seriously here in the South. House divided flags and license plates are commonplace in an area where everyone has an SEC allegiance, and a couple’s fandom is often a centerpiece in their wedding.

One such newlywed “House divided” bride pulled off an epic prank on her new husband at their wedding last weekend.

The groom’s cake was one that screamed “Roll Tide,” but the Florida orange and blue cake on the inside said “Go Gators” pretty loudly.

On top of the cake was a fondant Nick Saban, BCS crystal ball held above his head, riding an elephant on a football field, but once the couple cut into the cake, you could see who got the last laugh.

Troll Tide?
Troll Tide?

The couple, groom Robert Sabin and his bride, Amanda Perryman, were surprised to find out Monday morning that the story cake had spread so quickly.

“We had no idea it would get picked up like it has,” Perryman said. “It’s been really cool. It was really fun.”

Well, there’s only one thing left to be said. Troll Tide.
