Satisfy your sweet tooth on the MoCo Treat Trail

Tess’ Place (Decatur Morgan County Tourism/Contributed)

While taking in all the local art Morgan County has to offer, your Decatur Saturday would not be complete without a stop into one of the many confectionaries in the area. From ice cream to candy to cobbler, and everything in between, don’t skip out on the Sweet Treat Trail during your visit. Get your passport stamped as you travel the trail and be sure to check out these favorites:

Dutch Oven Bakery

This small Mennonite Bakery, located near Bankhead National Forest, offers delicious homemade cupcakes, cakes, cheesecakes, fudge, and more.

Tennessee Valley Pecans

For a different kind of treat, try Tennessee Valley Pecans, located on historic Bank Street in Downtown Decatur. They offer pecans in all flavors, including the ever popular Key Lime Pecans, which are the perfect combo of nutty sweetness.

Tess’ Place

Ice cream and gourmet floats… is there anything better? We think not. Try any combination of uniquely flavored ice cream, signature floats and even shaved ice at the Downtown Decatur shop, named after the owner’s beloved French bulldog, Tess.
