Professional Fire Fighters of Alabama endorse ‘servant leader’ Dale Strong for Congress

Friday, the Professional Fire Fighters of Alabama and the Madison Professional Fire Fighters endorsed Madison County Commission chairman Dale Strong in his Republican bid for Alabama’s open fifth congressional district seat.

Jay McGough, secretary and treasurer of the Madison Professional Fire Fighters, spoke to Strong’s lifelong service as a volunteer firefighter and praised his efforts to support the first responder community.

“Dale Strong is the right man to represent us in Congress,” said McGough. “Dale has been a volunteer firefighter his entire life and knows the dangers we face every day. On the Commission Dale has worked tirelessly to support our Fire Departments and all first responders.”

According to Professional Fire Fighters of Alabama president David Harer, Strong would be an advocate for emergency responders as a member of Congress.

“We endorse Dale Strong because he truly is a servant leader that understands that to protect our families you must have a strong emergency response,” noted Harer. “Fire fighters put their lives on the line every time they hop off a truck to fight a fire, enter a burning building or work a traffic accident on a busy highway. With Dale Strong we know we will have someone in Congress that has our backs.”

The Republican congressional hopeful expressed gratitude to the organizations for their support of his candidacy.

“Every day Firefighters leave their families and risk their lives to protect my family and yours,” proclaimed Strong. “They deserve our respect, thanks and support. I am truly honored to have their endorsement.”

The primary election will take place on May 24, 2022.
