Palmer Receives Lincoln-Reagan Award

A message from Gary Palmer for Congress

Congressman Gary Palmer (R – AL) was honored at last week’s Tuscaloosa County Republican Party annual fundraiser, the Lincoln Reagan Dinner. The event was held at The Zone at Bryant Denny Stadium with Governor Kay Ivey as the keynote speaker. Several Republican elected officials attended the dinner.

Congressman Palmer said he was “honored to be the recipient of the Reagan-Lincoln Award.”

Congressman Palmer received the recognition for his commitment to conservative values. He has faithfully served the 6th District since he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2014. A champion for individual freedoms, Palmer advocates for congressional polices he knows will lessen government regulations and promote steady economic growth in America.

A strong conservative voice in Congress, Palmer is a member of the Freedom Caucus. He also serves on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is Chairman of the Intergovernmental Affairs Subcommittee, and is a member of both the Budget Committee and the Committee on Science, Space and Technology.

With the Alabama midterm elections just around the corner, Republican groups from around the state are working hard in their efforts to get voters to the polls this November. The Republican Party of Tuscaloosa is no exception.

Congressman Palmer appreciates the steady support he and his fellow Republicans receive from the county party.

“The Tuscaloosa Republican Party is doing excellent work in West Alabama.” Palmer said.

Congressman Palmer’s consistent conservative voting record reflects his views on issues Alabamians overwhelmingly support, including pro-life values, tax cuts, immigration and second amendment rights.
