Tournament helps to drive out breast cancer

The 28th Drive-Out Breast Cancer Golf Tournament, hosted at the Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills, was a major success in raising funds for breast cancer research within the Yellowhammer State. The event which was hosted by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama, generated over $125,000.

Birmingham Legion FC scores historic win

In front of a record crowd of 12,772 people Birmingham Legion FC Wednesday night took home what maybe its biggest win yet for the organization. The win pushes the club into the quarter finals of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, the oldest ongoing soccer tournament in the country.
