A new addition to the Kiwanis Vulcan Trail in Birmingham has officially been opened. The Freshwater Land Trust made the announcement that the Bryant-Jordan Trail Spur is now open to the public as of Tuesday morning. The 4.62 acre trail was created after a land donation was made by The Bryant-Jordan Scholar Athlete Foundation, Inc.

UA, Shelton State team up for new bachelor's program

The already well established partnership between the University of Alabama and Shelton State Community college was strengthened even more recently after the two schools announced that a new program had been formed to provide a "seamless transition" for students transferring from Shelton State to Alabama seeking to earn a bachelor's degree.
