Water service improvements coming to Alexander City

Major improvements are coming to downtown Alexander City's water lines thanks to a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant, Gov. Kay Ivey announced Wednesday. The grant will be combined with additional funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission to complete the task.

The culture war is on and Democrats keep hurting themselves

More than $40 million in state transportation funding has been set aside for 26 projects  that will be focused on improving Alabama's roads and bridges, Governor Kay Ivey announced Tuesday. The funding will be dispensed to various cities and counties throughout the state. The projects are all slated begin in 2024.

According to the state, most of Alabama's public fishing lakes are set to go back to regular hours of operation come February. Jonathan Brown, State Lake Supervisor for the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), briefly discussed the change.
