Legislation in the Alabama House of Representatives designed to keep cities and police officers safer has gained the support of the National Police Association (NPA). The bill, introduced by Alabama Rep. Chris England (070), makes failing to disclose knowledge about a concealed weapon when an officer asks a Class A misdemeanor.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is continuing to back the effort to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls in the state. In August, Alabama Sec. of State Wes Allen announced that he had identified 3,251 individuals registered to vote in Alabama who have been issued noncitizen identification numbers by the Department of Homeland Security.
