Monday, the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund announced its endorsement of former Business Council of Alabama CEO Katie Britt in her Republican candidacy for the U.S. Senate.
In a release announcing the endorsement, National Wildlife Federation Action Fund CEO Collin O’Mara sang the praises of Britt, who serves on the Alabama Wildlife Federation board of directors.
“Katie understands we don’t need to choose between jobs and responsible stewardship of wildlife and our natural resources,” stated O’Mara. “She has been a leader on the Alabama Wildlife Federation’s Board of Directors and will be a strong advocate for ensuring our wildlife and outdoor heritage thrive for future generations.”
O’Mara asserted that Britt had demonstrated the ability to “deliver results” in her past experience and advised that she would serve as an advocate for Alabama’s outdoors industry as senator.
“She has the experience and leadership skills to deliver results for Alabama’s hunters, anglers, hikers, bird watchers, and outdoor recreationists from the mountains to the Gulf coast and everywhere in between,” added O’Mara. “The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund is proud to endorse Katie Britt’s election to the U.S. Senate.”
The primary election will take place on May 24, 2022.
