Mo Brooks speech draws Trump’s praise — ‘Very likely’ millions of illegal aliens voted in 2020 election

Congressman Mo Brooks (AL-05) on Thursday received public plaudits from President Donald J. Trump.

This came after Brooks took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to deliver his fourth speech in a series on what he considers systemic flaws in America’s elections process.

The North Alabama congressman made national news this week with his pledge to challenge certain Electoral College votes when they are considered state-by-state in the House for certification come January.

“I’m doing this because in my judgment this is the worst election theft in the history of the United States. And if there was a way to determine the Electoral College outcome using only lawful votes cast by eligible American citizens, then Donald Trump won the Electoral College,” Brooks told The Hill.

As reported previously by Yellowhammer News, Brooks had previewed this course of action right after the November 3 general election.

Trump’s legal team continues to raise challenges in a handful of swing states in which former Vice President Joe Biden appears to have won by narrow margins because of large disparities in mail-in ballots favoring the Democrat. Trump’s team argues that election fraud has caused his apparent defeat.

U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr this week said, “To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election.”

Brooks’ Thursday speech centered on how Democrats have barred voter registrars nationwide from requesting the necessary information to prevent illegal aliens and all other noncitizens from voting in American elections; Brooks believes that Biden’s pledge to give amnesty and citizenship to more than 11 million illegal aliens was made with the hopes of enticing them to illegally register to vote, and then vote in the 2020 presidential election.

“[D]eplorably, in 1993, Democrats rammed through Congress the National Voter Registration Act that, incredibly, makes it illegal, illegal, to require proof of citizenship that prevents illegal aliens and noncitizens from registering to vote,” he said on the House floor. “Why do Democrats undermine our Republic to make illegal alien and non-citizen voting easier? To win elections, of course.”

He then cited a 2014 study by Old Dominion University and George Mason University professors that showed illegal aliens and other noncitizens vote 80% of the time for Democrats.

“Mr. Speaker, there are many tens of millions of illegal aliens and other noncitizens in America,” Brooks outlined. “In 2010, the Census found 11 million illegal aliens in America. A 2018 Yale study estimated as many as 22 million illegal aliens in America! There are simply so many that no one can keep track of how many!”

“Similarly, no one knows how massive the illegal alien voting block is or how many voted in 2020. Hundreds of thousands? Almost certainly. Millions? Very likely,” he continued.

Brooks subsequently summarized that in his “judgment, if only lawful votes cast by eligible American citizens are counted, President Trump handily won the electoral college and a second term as president.”

“As such, it is my duty, under the U.S. Constitution, on January 6, if the required one Senator will join me, to object to and later vote to reject electoral college submissions from states whose election systems are so badly flawed as to render their vote submissions unreliable, untrustworthy, and unworthy of acceptance,” Brooks concluded.

Trump apparently watched the speech, soon-thereafter tweeting, “Thank you to Representative Mo Brooks!”

Congressman-elect Barry Moore (AL-02) reacted to Trump’s tweet by advising that he “met with [Brooks] yesterday” on this issue. Moore said he is “excited to support his efforts.” Moore will be a sitting member of Congress by the time the House considers Electoral College certification.
