As reported by WKRG News, SSAB Steel announced earlier today that they will relocate their business headquarters in Mobile, Al. The announcement came at the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce meeting and was met with great enthusiasm.
SSAB has been operating in the port city for nearly 20 years now, providing jobs across South Alabama. However, their recent decision to move from Illinois means even more economic growth for the region.
In a Tweet, Congressman Bradley Byrne expressed his support by saying “SSAB’s decision to move their headquarters to Mobile is just another indicator that our local economy continues to boom!”
