The reelection campaign of U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) on Friday announced that it had landed the endorsement of Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth.
First elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020, Moore is seeking reelection to Alabama’s second congressional district seat. Prior to his election, Moore served in the Alabama National Guard and was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives.
Moore officially qualified his reelection bid with the Alabama Republican Party at its Birmingham headquarters earlier this month.
In announcing his endorsement of Moore’s reelection campaign, Ainsworth commended the South Alabama congressman for bringing an outsider’s approach to his work on Capitol Hill.
“I’m proud to endorse my good friend and former State House colleague Barry Moore. In his first year serving our great state in Congress, Barry has fought relentlessly for our veterans and our farmers,” proclaimed Ainsworth. “As a small business owner and America First conservative, he brings the type of outsider perspective to Washington that we need to drain the Swamp. I look forward to his continued partnership to ensure Alabama continues to grow and our conservative values are preserved so that our children and grandchildren will be excited to raise their families here at home.”
Moore serves on the House Committee on Agriculture and is the lead Republican on the Economic Opportunity Subcommittee for the House Committee on Veterans Affairs.
