Farmers for Katie Britt coalition launches — ‘Our state’s farmers exemplify the American Dream’

Katie Britt’s candidacy for the U.S. Senate continues to receive support from Alabama’s agricultural community.

Her campaign on Wednesday announced the formation of the “Farmers for Katie Britt” grassroots coalition. The coalition consists of a variety of farmers who work in multiple areas of agriculture including crop, dairy, cattle and poultry. Its founding members are from each of the state’s 67 counties.

Should her candidacy emerge victorious, Britt pledged to be a proponent of Alabama farmers as a member of the U.S. Senate.

“Farmers feed and clothe Alabama, our nation and the world, and they’re the backbones of local communities across our state,” advised Britt. “I am proud to strongly support Alabama’s incredible family farmers and will always fight to ensure they have the opportunity to thrive without Big Government getting in their way. Our state’s farmers exemplify the American Dream, showing that the value of an honest day’s work is what this country is built on.”

Britt, a first-time candidate for public office, asserted that Alabamians are in need of a senator who recognizes the issues facing the state’s rural communities.

She concluded, “We need fresh blood in the Senate and someone who understands firsthand the unique challenges and opportunities facing communities outside our larger urban cities. Zip code should not define opportunity for hardworking Alabamians, and I will work tirelessly to advance commonsense conservative policies that grow jobs, protect individual liberties and better the daily lives of our state’s families, no matter where in Alabama they live.”

According to Britt’s campaign, the coalition’s members will serve as grassroots representatives for the campaign and will employ in-person as well as digital campaigning methods.

Britt also holds the endorsement of FarmPAC, which is the political arm for the Alabama Farmers Federation.
