Fairhope Brewing’s Wingman to land in Mobile

After 10 years of business in Baldwin County, Fairhope Brewing Co. is expanding into Mobile with The Wingman. The experimental pop-up tasting room will open in early 2024 in downtown Mobile. The new venture will concentrate on experimental concepts and new flavor profiles of beers and seltzers.

While Fairhope Brewing’s best-selling beers like Take the Causeway IPA and Cheap
Sunglasses Golden Ale will have a place at The Wingman, the new location will expand on the success that Fairhope Brewing has had with seltzers and flavored sour ales. These styles will be brewed on-site at the new location, 656 St. Louis St.

“We want to take what we’ve learned and try something new, with a fresh concept focused on innovative and interesting beverages,” said head brewer Jacob Sellers. “Over the past couple of years, we have broadened our offerings to include particularly bold and original flavors, and those styles have been received exceptionally well.”

Inspired by the success of Blue Steel (blueberry lemon sour ale) and Pink Delicious (pink
lemonade hard seltzer), The Wingman will build on these creative styles to push the limits of what beer and seltzer can become – creating a one-of-a-kind experience with each pour.

“We only have so many taps in Fairhope, and with all of the styles that Jacob is putting out
there, a secondary experimental location will be perfect for us,” said managing partner Jim
Foley. “The Wingman will be the place for us to try new out things and introduce options that can’t be found anywhere else. This interactive model will allow us to gather feedback from our guests.

“When our patrons get enthusiastic about a particular offering, we will consider putting
it into larger-scale distribution.”

The location features indoor and outdoor seating and is available for private events. The Wingman will not have a kitchen, but patrons will be free to bring their own food or have food delivered.
