Four men, including three who live along the United States-Mexico border, have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking following a major raid by the Dothan Police Department.
The operation came after a month-long investigation, according to WTVY and Dothan Eagle.
Rio Grande City, Texas’ Kenneth Nicholas De La Cerda, 24, Alberto Diaz, Jr. and Jesus Pina, Jr., both of Penitas, Texas, and Muta Takir Bolden of Dothan are being held without bond following their arrests Friday in Ashford.
Dothan officers executed a search warrant and seized 25 kilograms of cocaine with a reported street value of approximately $800,000. Several guns, including three semiautomatics, were also confiscated, according to Captain Will Benny.
“This was a great day for the City of Dothan law enforcement,” Benny told the Dothan Eagle. “Everyone working this case worked very hard to make this all come together, with the end result of keeping a lot of drugs off the streets.”
As of Monday, all four suspects were currently in the Houston County Jail without bond.
